the goal of this project is to investigate identity and idealism in a creative and playful manner, by allowing audience members to describe themselves in any fashion they chose and turning what they say into a characterization.
this project will be a blind of traditional art and digital with the use of video, digital photography and drawing, with graphite drawings.
Artist Statement
For this project I wanted to expand on the idea of character development. to fulfill the participatory part of this project I chose to have participants describe their own fantasy characters that I would then create for them. the idea of having full control over the creation of a character was something that I thought would be interesting for the participants. Having control over what you want to be is part of the development of these characters.
Revision
I would like to expand on this project by asking people other than those I am good friends with. Seeing how far participants will go in there descriptions when they are not as comfortable with myself is the desired result other than the actual sketches themselves.
